Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers condolences over Azerbaijani embassy employee death in Egypt

Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered condolences to Azerbaijan over the death of an employee of Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Cairo, Egypt
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia issued a statement on its website, APA reports. “Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses deep sorrow over the death of Mr. Nijat Godzhaev, the employee of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Cairo and conveys its condolences to the family of the deceasedâ€, the ministry said in its statement.
Accounting officer of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Egypt Nijat Godzhayev was shot dead during the unrests in Cairo on January 29 when he returned home from the office.
105 Azerbaijanis were evacuated from Egypt last night by plane and returned home. Godzhayev’s body was also brought by that plane to Baku and then was sent to his hometown Agjabedi.
