To him, several countries cooperate with Iran in all spheres and seek benefit in such cooperation: â€œPrimarily, they seek benefit and think of their economic interest. As other countries collaborating with Iran, Azerbaijan also takes into consideration its own interest. Americans are anxious about mutual visits of senior officials of the two countries, we feel it. Americans think that Iran and Azerbaijan are inclined to cooperate with each other more closely because of their common histories. And that is why they are anxious about occurrence of such incidents. In general, America has always wanted to introduce Iran as a dreadful subject in the region. Iran is supporter of peace and stability. There is no fearful thing in mutual cooperation between the two countries, as well between the regional countries. Nobody can harm the relations of our countries as a result of historical ties of regional countries, as well as of the two nationsâ€.

Jahromi said that Azerbaijani leadership and senior officials has always shown their independency towards the relations of the two countriesâ€ I think that interest of their own country is more important for Azerbaijani leadership than interests of other countriesâ€.

Remind that, the Treasury Departmentâ€™s undersecretary for terrorism and financial intelligence Stuart Levey paid a visit to Azerbaijan two days ago. Within the framework of the visit he discussed UN finance sanctions implementing on Iran with Azerbaijani officials.
