Elmar Mammadyarov: One of the goals of the OSCE assessment missionâ€™s visit to the occupied Azerbaijani territories was to clarify the artificial settlement of the Armenians

Now they are working on the report,â€ Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov told journalists in Georgia, APAâ€™s Georgia bureau reports.

â€œOSCE assessment mission has just visited the occupied territories surrounding Nagorno Karabakh. Representatives of UNHCR and senior official of Germany also attended the visit. They will also prepare a report on the visit,â€ Elmar Mammadyarov said.

Minister also said that one of the goals of the assessment missionâ€™s visit was to clarify the artificial settlement of the Armenian population in the occupied territories.

Elmar Mammadyarov underlined that the negotiations on the resolution of the conflict had been continuing within the framework of the Prague process for several years.
â€œSeveral meetings were held on the level of presidents in connection with the Madrid proposals. We can start working on the big peace agreement. The Armenian side must continue discussions more constructively, withdraw its troops from the occupied territories. This is also noted in the statement issued by the presidents of Russia, US and France,â€ he said.

To the question â€œWill Armenian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers meet before the OSCE summit in Astana?â€ Elmar Mammadyarov said:
â€œIt is still early, we should receive proposals, the co-chairs should visit the region.â€
