Socialist International to pass resolution on settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict

The proposals will be introduced at the meeting of the Socialist Internationalâ€™s Congress in Paris on November 15-16. Basing on these proposals the Socialist International will prepare a resolution on the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Luis Ayala considers that discussion of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict may bring to positive changes in the settlement of the problem. He said both sides are interested in the settlement of the conflict and the Socialist International may assist in the dialogue between the sides. Luis Ayala says Nagorno Karabakh conflict should be considered in another context.
â€œCountries are changing. Azerbaijan and Armenia are not the countries that existed 20 years ago,â€ he said.

Chairman of Azerbaijan Social Democratic Party Araz Alizadeh and representative of Dashnatsyutun Mario Nalbandian underlined the importance of the Baku meeting.

Mario Nalbandian said Baku meeting is the continuation of the first meeting held in Yerevan.
â€œI think this is a very important step taken for reaching understanding to solve Nagorno Karabakh conflict and establish stability in the region. Now we have a chance to hold a dialogue,â€ he said.
