Next conflict between Kiro Manoyan and Araz Alizadeh at SOS Internâ€™s meeting

Co-chair of Azerbaijan Social Democratic Party Araz Alizadeh reacted to this proposal immediately: â€œKarabakh has never been independent. If Armenia considers Karabakh as an independent state, then how a citizen of independent Nagorno Karabakh has been elected Armenian president twice? And now, how a citizen of Armenian state may invite other people to the so-called independent Nagorno Karabakh?â€

Speaking about reactions of other delegations to this issue, Alizadeh said everyone knows that Karabakh is an integral and indigenous part of Azerbaijan. Touching upon his protest against the arrival of Karabakh Organization dashnaks in Baku, Alizadeh noted that it was direct decision of the organization to invite anybody to the meeting or not: â€œPeople hate Ahmadinejad in America, but he goes to America every year systematically. This event has been organized by SOS Intern organization. Our party is a member of this organization. I am not engaged in an invitation issueâ€.

â€œDashnaktsutyun had been a member of SOS Intern since its establishment, but it was dismissed from the organization after several terrorist acts. Some years later, the party has changed regulations and its membership was restored. After the collapse of Soviet Socialist Republic and Armeniaâ€™s declaration of its independence, Dashnaktsutyun wanted to restore its full-fledged membership to SOS Intern. During the meeting held in 1991 in Istanbul, I raised an issue that there was a thesis on establishment of militarized units in their regulations. Thereat, they were given negative answer again. They extracted that item from the regulations. And after it, there was one more item in their regulations about territorial claim against other countries. In 1995, they extracted this item too and substituted it with an item on implementation of The Peace Treaty of SÃ¨vres â€“ recognized by no country. Consequently, Dashnaktsutyunâ€™s membership has been restoredâ€.

Alizadeh added that he would raise an issue at the SOS Intern again on Dashnaktsutyunâ€™s membership.
