First Lady of Azerbaijan, the President of one of the largest civil society organizations in the South Caucasus region - Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO Mehriban Aliyeva conducts large-scale projects on education of sick children and children with disabilities, and in my opinion, anywhere in the world, paying much attention to this matter, the support of first ladies could bring positive resultsâ€, - She added.

According to her, this issue is actual for Azerbaijan. As a result of occupation of Azerbaijani lands by Armenia hundreds of children were killed and wounded, thousands of children have lost their health, have become disabled during Armenia’s occupation of 20 percent of Azerbaijani territories.

Moreover, thousands of refugees and internally displaced persons received psychological trauma, which led to an increase in the number of children congenital disabilities, she said.

â€We have to pay great attention to providing quality education for disabled children because their future life depends on this educationâ€, - She stressed.

She also drew attention to the training of this category of children with normal children. This will have a positive psychological effect on children with disabilities, they will not feel isolated from society. We must create conditions for what they could contribute to the development of society, she said.

Pashayeva also emphasized the importance of work in the family. This applies to health education for children, as well as mobilizing the civil society, media to this issue. â€œEvery child deserves a happy life, is entitled to the future", - She said.
