Co-Chairs of OSCE Minsk Group release joint statement

The Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group Bernard Fassier (France), Robert Bradtke (USA), Igor Popov (Russia) and the OSCE Personal Representative of the Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk held separate meetings on September 23 in New-York on the margins of the UN General Assembly session with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, and of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov. The Co-Chairs informed both Ministers about the preparations for their upcoming Field Assessment Mission. The Co-Chairs will conduct the Mission from October 4-14, 2010, in the territories around Nagorno-Karabakh. Following on their preliminary contacts with UN officials in Geneva and New York, the Co-Chairs formally invited UNDP and UNCHR experts to participate in the Mission. In addition, the Co-Chairs confirmed to the Ministers their working plan for the following months, including preparations for the OSCE Summit in Astana.
