Turkish President starts his official visit to Azerbaijan

Turkish President was welcomed by First Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov and other officials at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport.

Abdullah Gul and Yagub Eyyubov had a brief talk at the VIP hall of the airport.

Abdullah Gul will have one-on-one meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and hold meeting with the participation of the delegations. He will meet with Prime Minister Artur Rasizadeh, speaker of the parliament Ogtay Asadov and head of the Muslim Board for the Caucasus, sheikh-ul-islam Allahshukur Pashazadeh.

Bilateral issues, regional and global processes related to both countries will be discussed during the meetings. The delegation, which will accompany Abdullah Gul, includes Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, co-chair of Turkey-Azerbaijan joint economic commission Taner Yildiz, other officials, scientists and media representatives.

Turkish President is expected to travel to Shaki region within the framework of the two-day visit.
