Elkhan Polukhov: â€œOnly renovated Madrid proposals exist in the form of a document concerning the resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflictâ€

Lachin Sultanova â€“ APA. â€œThere is only document concerning the resolution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict: it is renovated Madrid proposalsâ€, said spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Elkhan Polukhov, APA reports. Polukhov expressed his reaction to the Armenian foreign minister Edward Nalbandianâ€™s ideas about the St Petersburg proposals.

â€œDespite that Russia plays a great role in this process and Russian president joined several meetings, the proposals are worked out only by the co-chairs. There are renovated Madrid proposals existed in the form of a document, which was submitted to both sides last year. Nalbandianâ€™s statement aims to distract attention of the Armenian and international communities from the essence of the issueâ€.

Answering the question about the possibility of the meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers in Almaty, Polukhov said they were planning to hold such meeting and now it was negotiated, but it was not confirmed yet.
