Taking stance on these amendments Kuznetsov noted that the Venice Commission told repeatedly that each amendment should be done before the elections: “May be amendments for election participants are not so desirableâ€.
Answering the question on whether Azerbaijani Government appealed to Venice Commission for receiving its opinion or not, Kuznetsov said that there was not such appeal. He noted that the Venice Commission did not have right to do it on its own initiative.
