Azerbaijani and Armenian Delegations to PACE met in the EC

According to APAâ€™s Europen Bureou corrrespondent to PACE along with the head of the Azerbaijani delegation Samad Seyidov, also participated member of delegation Sabir Hajiyev at meeting that held by initative PACE President Movlud Chavushoglu.

Head of the Armenian delegation David Harutyunyan and his deputy Armen Rustamyan took part at the meeting from Armenian side.

Secretary General of the Assembly Mathias Sorinas also joined to the meeting of parliamentarians of two states.

According to Seyidov, it was decided to continue such meetings in the future. â€œThe delegation of Azerbaijan has repeatedly noted the importance of revitalization activity of the PACE Sub-Committee on Nagorno-Karabakh. But it is pity that Armenian side absolutely avoids from such contracts and relations through this Committee. But thanks to our perseverance, it was decided to continue negotiations and exchange of views and Armenian side has recognized importance of continuing contacts. As you see format of meetings expands from meeting to meeting. Most likely, the meeting in this format to be hold in a wider composition in the next session. Because it is impossible to avoid from such relations and it is other issue what name you give to these relationsâ€- He told.

Samad Seyidov noted that Armenian side is not satisfied with the work of this Sub-Committee. â€œFor instance Armenians say they do not agree with the existence of this Sub-Committee, but we say that for us it is important to maintain contacts and to discuss the situation through these contacts. We suggested that in future to holf a meeting between Azerbaijani and Armenian communities of Nagorno-Karabakh. Aa You know, this item has been noted on the 1416th resolution of PACE. Generally these issues have been descussed at the meeting that held today. That is, Armenians can not avoid from such contractsâ€ â€“ Seyidov notified.
