The head of state congratulated Akchura for his new post and wished him success. Speaking about rapidly-developing relations between Azerbaijan and UN, the President expressed his confidence in further extension of this cooperation in the future.
Akchura said that it was great honor for him to be UN resident coordinator in fraternal Azerbaijan. “I will make every possible effort for enhancement of cooperation between UN and Azerbaijanâ€, he said.
Akchura handed over UN Secretary General Pan Gi Mun’s letter to President Aliyev.
