Mahmud Mammadguliyev: I think we will soon start the talks on the facilitation of the visa regime between the European Union and Azerbaijan â€“ <font color=red>EXCLUSIVE </font>

According to him, there is a big possibility to hold the talks in Baku. The first technical meeting in connection with the official talks on signing the association agreement between Azerbaijan and the European Union will be held in Brussels on June 21. The structure and principles of the agreement will be discussed at the meeting.

Asked about the stage of the talks on the facilitation of visa regime between Azerbaijan and the European Union, Mahmud Mammadguliyev said technical workshop was held by TAXIS program on the level of experts in Baku on June 17-18. The workshop covers migration, visa, facilitation of visa procedure, protection of borders, management of migration.
â€œI think that this is the first and serious step, we will soon start the talks on the facilitation of the visa regime,â€ he said.
According to Mahmud Mammadguliyev, such talks can last for a year, a year and a half, everything depends on the activeness of the work.
Agreement on readmission is to be signed along with the agreement on the facilitation of visa regime.
