Baku. Lachin Sultanova – APA. Co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) Monitoring Committee Andres Herkel and Joseph Debonah Grekh held their first meeting at the Monitoring Committee in Paris. Herkel told APA that they discussed joint action plan and agreed to visit Azerbaijan in February, 2010.
Herkel said the new co-rapporteur was learning the documents adopted by the Council of Europe on Azerbaijan, as well as situation in the country. “I think we will work well with the new co-rapporteurâ€. Herkel said he briefly reported about Azerbaijan to the Monitoring Committee, focusing the arrest of bloggers and responded the questions.
