Baku. Victoria Dementyeva – APA. Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) hosts the Second Annual PhD Workshop titled “Energy Exporters: Politics, Society, and Economicsâ€, APA reports. Delivering a keynote speech, ADA Rector, Deputy Foreign Minister Hafiz Pashayev noted that the aim of the PhD workshop is to enhance the knowledge about Azerbaijan in the scholarly world, to stimulate interaction among Azerbaijani and international scholars, to build cooperation and share experiences and insights on research and teaching methods as part of the educational reforms being conducted in Azerbaijan.
Further, John Hopkins University Professor Dr. Frederick Starr and University of Haifa Professor Dr. Brenda Shaffer made speeches.
The workshop also brought together PhDs and PhD candidates in the discipline of social science, with special emphasis on international relations, political science, economics, environmental studies and international law.
The workshop will continue until December 20.
