Yerevan – APA. Armenian foreign minister Edward Nalbandian noted the ratification of protocols signed with Turkey was stuck in Turkish parliament, but not in Yerevan, APA reports. Giving an interview to Turkish journalists, Nalbandian stated that the relations between the two countries were normalizing: “Both countries have undertaken commitments to ratify the protocols as soon as possible taking the processes going on in the parliaments into consideration. There is no problem in Armenia in this regard. The protocols passed through certain procedures in the foreign ministry, and sent to presidential administration and the Constitutional Court. The court will hold its meeting regarding this issue on January 12. However, we don’t know what steps Turkey has taken in this direction. It’s said the protocols are in relevant commissions. I hope it’s not an artificial obstacle created by Turkey. If any of the parties tries to create an obstacle to this process, it will actually disrespect not only for the opposite side, but also for the international community”.
