Azerbaijani parliamentarians to attend meeting of Parliamentary Union of OIC member states

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. First vice-speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ziyafat Asgarov and MP Govhar Bakhshaliyeva have today left for Cairo, the capital of Egypt, to attend the meetings of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC member states (PUOICM), the parliamentâ€™s press service told APA. The second meeting of the Special Committee on reforms has been organized on two levels.
The meeting of the experts will be held first of all, following this, the discussions will continue on the level of the parliament speakers under the chairmanship of speaker of Egyptian parliament Ahmed Fathi Sorour.

PUOICM Secretary General Mahmud Erol Kilic will make a report in both meetings. Common discussions will be held on the report on OIC Parliamentary Unionâ€™s Statute and Rules taking into consideration the proposals made by the experts at the meetings in Algeria and Cairo. Plan will be made for carrying out reforms in the Union. The representatives of the Azerbaijani parliament will express the countryâ€™s position on the discussed issues.
The visit will end on December 22.
