Venice Commission to adopt opinion on two draft laws of Azerbaijan

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. The 81st plenary session of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe has started. Member of the Venice Commission Latif Huseynov told APA that the president of the commission would be elected first in the two-day session. He said two issues related to Azerbaijan had been included into the agenda of the session.
“They are draft laws on the status of municipalities and on obtaining information on activities of the courts of Azerbaijan. The commission is to adopt opinions on both draft laws and these opinions are to be presented to Azerbaijani government. Moreover, the commission will discuss the draft revision of the Constitution of Luxembourg, Ukraine’s draft law on organising and conducting peaceful events, revised draft law amending the Civil code of Armenia concerning the rules on compensation of victims of defamation by the press,” he said.

Latif Huseynov is expected to report about his visit to Montenegro in October.
