Collective Security Treaty Organization can not participate in the solution to Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno Karabakh conflict because Azerbaijan is not a member of this organization, said CSTO in its statement, APA reports quoting AzerTAC news agency.

On Friday, Regnum agency reported about the CSTO intentions to participate peacemaking operations in the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict zone quoting the unknown source introduced as a “Kyrgyz expert”. CSTO press service said nobody asked the organization to undertake peacemaking mission in Karabakh and reports about that were not true. “Azerbaijan is not a member of CSTO and we can not send our troops to its territory without its consent. Our Charter says that CSTO has not right to conduct military operations in the territory of non-member country without its consent. We are not involved in Karabakh issue and therefore we have no comment on above-mentioned report”, said CSTO in its statement.
