OSCE Secretary General begins his visit to Azerbaijan

He told journalists at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport that Azerbaijan is in very important phase, APA reports.

Brichambaut said he arrived in Baku at the invitation of the government of Azerbaijan. He said he would meet with President Ilham Aliyev and other officials during the visit. â€œThe main subjects of the meetings will be Nagorno Karabakh conflict and democratization process in all spheres in Azerbaijan. I believe I will get an opportunity to discuss the situation with the Azerbaijani authorities and we will discuss the OSCE activity in Azerbaijan as wellâ€.

Brichambaut said progress was observed in every meeting of the Azerbaijani and Armenian presidents. â€œWe will probably see the development of the negotiations at the Moscow meeting. The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs made great efforts in this field. We hope that we will reach achievement toward thisâ€.
