Azerbaijan’s economy increases by 4.5% this year

State Statistical Committee says per capita GDP made AZN 2,389 ($3,044.4), up 3.1% compared to a year earlier.

 

62.7% of GDP was produced in production spheres, as well as 50.2% - in industry, 9.7% - in construction, 2.8% - in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 30.9% - in services. Net taxes to products and import made 6.4% of GDP.

 

24.9% of value added production in services sector was provided by trade and repair of transport facilities, 20% - by transport and storehouses, 7.1% - by tourist accommodation and catering, 5.6% - by information and communication services, 42.4% - by social and other spheres. 

 

The value added produced in non-oil sector rose 11% and its share in GDP made 52.5%. At the same time, the value added in oil-gas production and processing was down 1.4% from 2012.

 

The value added in construction works rose 38.7%, tourist accommodation and catering – 20.3%, trade and repair of transport – 8.8%, information and communication – 7.9%, transport ad storehouses – 5.3%, agriculture, forestry and fishery – 5.3%, social and other spheres – 5.2%.
