Zamin Bank gets rise in consumer lending

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of January 1, 2013, Azerbaijan-based Zamin Bank’s assets stood at AZN 378.779 mln, up 5.6% from year earlier.

Bank says loan portfolio rose 9.2% to AZN 237.086 mln, including consumption loans made soared 2.7 times to AZN 179.773 mln. At the same time, overdue credits grew 1.6 times to AZN 9.785 mln. Share of overdue credits in loan portfolio increased by 1.3 percentage points to 4.1%.

Deposit portfolio dropped 8.6% to AZN 101.590 mln. Personal savings made AZN 79.163 mln, down 11.6% from previous year.

Total capital surged 57.0% to AZN 42.661 mln, as well as authorized capital grew 1.7 times to AZN 37.182 mln.

Number of clients advanced 18.9% to 128,129, as well as individuals rose 19.9% to 119.119, legal entities – 7.3% 8,938. Plastic cards were equal to 27,292, down 15.5% from a year earlier. Debit cards slipped 14.8% to 26,481, credit cards – 30.6% to 811.

At present, the bank operates 38 branches, 38 ATMs and 1,891 POS-terminals across the country.
