WB to provide support to Azerbaijan on use of concept related with pension coverage system

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. A meeting with Larisa Leschenko, acting representative (country manager) of the World Bank in Azerbaijan and Angela Prigozhina, Senior Financial Sector Specialist at World Bank was held in the State Social Protection Fund.

According to Fund’s PR department, SSPF chairman Salim Muslumov informed about Fund’s activity and noted that 87% of Fund’s organizations were provided with automatized job places and it has 1,272 mln pensioners and information about more than 2.1 mln insured persons.

Larisa Leschenko appreciated the works conducted in insurance-pension system. She noted that her organization is interested in cooperation with the Fund within the next years and supports Azerbaijan on use of concept related with pension coverage system.

Prigozhina noted that next development stage of insurance-pension system must cover not only social issues, but also financial elements.
