VTB Azerbaijan gets 52% rise in Q1 assets

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of April 1, 2013, VTB Azerbaijan’s assets stood at AZN 97,472 mln, up 52.3% from previous year.

Bank says the loan portfolio rose 81.5% to AZN 85.484 mln, including consumer lending made AZN 39.139 mln, up 3.4 times in comparison to a year earlier. At the same time, the overdue credits soared 5.4% to AZN 3.306 mln and its share in loan portfolio dropped 2.8 percentage points to 3.9%.

Deposit portfolio surged 5.9 times to AZN 16.212 mln, as well as personal savings were equal to AZN 5.256 mln, up 2.8 times from a year earlier.

Total capital rose 4.0% to AZN 15.600 mln, including authorized capital remained unchanged at AZN 23.815 mln.

Number of clients increased by 2.6 times to 5,864, as well as individuals rose 2.8 times to 5,619, legal entities grew 14.0% to 245. Number of plastic cards stood at 476.

For the present, the bank operates 2 branches, 3 ATMs and 2 POS-terminals across the country.
