Baku. Ali Ahmadov – APA-Economics. Within last year the umber of POS-terminals tripled in Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports quoting CBA.
As of January 1 2013, the number of POS-terminals made 36,860 (+2.8 times).
3,629 of POS-terminals were installed in Baku (+2.77 times), 3,231 – the regions (+3.03).
95% of POS-terminals were installed at retail trade, catering and other service facilities.
CBA also told that, during the reporting period, the number of ATMs grew by 6% to 2,260. Of these, 1,263 or 55.9% are located in Baku (+7.1%), 997 or 44.1% - in the regions (+4.6).
