Baku. Malahat Najafova - APA-Economics. The third meeting of the Azerbaijan-Libya Intergovernmental Commission is expected to hold after the adoption of new Constitution of Libya, said Libya’s Chargé d'affaires in Azerbaijan Abdalrzak Shakahi.
According to him, the next meeting will be held in Tripoli. He noted that new Constitution will be adopted by year-end: “Thereafter, the agencies will be addressed and the meeting will be held in a short-run. Some Azerbaijani companies operate in Tripoli and Benghazi. Doors of Libya are open for other companies which intend to invest capital”.
Chargé d'affaires also noted that the relations will also develop in oil sphere. He says Azerbaijani Metanol Company intends to launch representation in Libya: “We sent its letter to the Ministry of Oil. We’ll receive response in the months coming”.
Shakahi also noted that Libya supports Azerbaijan’s position on Nagorno Karabakh conflict: “Our position is stable and open. We support Azerbaijan’s position, including resolutions adopted by the UN. We want Nagorno Karabakh conflict to be resolved peacefully”.
