Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Nikoloz Shurgaya was appointed as a chairman of Rabitabank’s Board of Directors. Shurgaya has 18-year experience in bank sector in Georgia, Belarus, Russia and Great Britain.
Shurgaya worked as an independent director in CIS countries and adviser of financial institutions. Besides, in 200-2011, he worked as chairman of Supervisory Board in Belarusky Narodny Bank of Bank of Georgia and Deputy Chairman of Bank of Georgia on international business.
He was also chairman of VTB Bank’s Board of Directors. At the same time, he was chief-specialist in Financial Institutions sector of EBRD, deputy vice-president of ABN Amro Bank (Moscow) and held different posts in United Georgian Bank (Tbilisi). Shurgaya is a alumni of London Business School on Master Business Administration degree.
Note that Rabitabank has been in operation since 1993. The bank operates 18 branches, 2 departments and 1 representation across the 14 regions of the country.
