IBA sees 18% growth in assets

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of January 1, 2013, assets of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) increased by 17.5% to AZN 5.891 bn.

The IBA press service told APA-Economics that loan portfolio grew in 2012 by 22.2%, and by 1 January 2013 amounted to AZN 3.856 bn. Loans given to individuals reached AZN 436.2 million.

Bank’s overall capital for last year totaled AZN 720 million that is by 40.4% more against the index by 1 January 2012. The IBA authorized capital for 2012 increased by 37.8% up to AZN 330.8 million.

By the end of 2012 the coefficient of IBA’s ROA (return on assets) was 0.82% and ROE (return on equity) - 9.21% versus 0.51% and 3.52% by 1 January 2012, respectively.
