Government mortgage lending in Azerbaijan doubles in November

Baku. Ali Ahmedov – APA-Economics. AZN 10.38 mln mortgage loans were given via Azerbaijan Mortgage Fund during November, 2012, up 2.2 times from month earlier. Consequently, mortgage loans reached AZN 50.06 mln, said the AMF.

Totally, the mortgage loans through AMF have reached AZN 60.44 mln since mortgage lending started in 2006. Consequently, as of December 1, 2012, per capita mortgage loan made AZN 43.7.

AMF has refinanced AZN 10.74 mln-mortgage loans, up 2.1 times compared with October. Consequently, AZN 85.42 mln-loans were refinanced during January-November. AZN 337.64 mln or 83.16% of total mortgage loans were refinanced.

Besides, AMF did not issue bonds in November. Consequently, the bonds issued by Fund remained unchanged at AZN 23 mln.
