Demirbank gets 7% rise in assets

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of January 1, 2013, Azerbaijan-based Demirbank’s assets stood at AZN 383.155 mln, up 7.2% from previous year.

Bank says loan portfolio rose 5.9% to AZN 281.223 mln. Consumption loans made AZN 95.881 mln, up 34.9% from 2012. At the same time, overdue credits soared 0.8% to AZN 12.828 mln. Share of overdue credits in loan portfolio dropped 0.2 percentage points to 4.6%.

Deposit portfolio increased by 12.8% to AZN 167.472 mln, as well as personal savings were equal to AZN 145.472 mln, up 29.1% in comparison to a year earlier.

Total capital grew 10.6% to AZN 55.924 mln, including authorized capital remained unchanged at AZN 21.0 mln.

Number of clients rose 11.3% to AZN 37,050, including individuals rose 11.6% to 36,007, legal entities – 2.7% to 1,007. Plastic cards stood at 23,228, down 24.9% from year earlier. Debit cards slipped 14.6% to 18,813, credit cards – by two times to 4,415.

At present, the bank operates 31 branches, 60 ATMs and 1,958 POS-terminals across eth country.
