Bank of Azerbaijan gets 42% growth in assets last year

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of January 1 20132, assets of Bank of Azerbaijan stood at AZN 263.348 mln (+41.5%).

During the reporting period, loan portfolio of the bank grew by 42.2% to AZN 215.508 mln. Consumer loans made AZN 35.168 mln (24.8%). Deposit portfolio increased by 41.8% to AZN 145.819 mln. Populations’ deposits made AZN 91.321 mln (53.2%).

Total capital rose 47.3% to AZN 35.811, as well as authorized capital was up 35.2% to AZN 45.3 mln.

The number of customers increased by 4.7 times to 50,620, individuals grew by 4.9 times to 47,874, legal entities soared 2.7 times to 2,746. The number of plastic cards was equal to 8,167 as of January 1 2013. Debit cards rose 2.8% to 6,302, credit cards grew by 27.7% to 1,865.

At present, the bank operates 17 branches, 34 ATMs, 1,888 POS-terminals and 323 employees across the country.
