Average monthly salary to increase by 80% within next 8 years in Azerbaijan

Baku. Ali Ahmedov - APA-Economics. According to State Social Protection Fund, in 2020, the average monthly wage will make AZN 684 or upper 1.8 times in comparison with today, said SSPF Chairman Salim Muslumov at the conference “Azerbaijan 2020: Vision into the future” held in Baku today.

According to the actuarial calculations of SSPF, the consumer price index will be 4% per year till 2020. The average annual number of hired workers was 2 mln, or 42% of the economically active population (current - 31.7%), the average annual number of self-employed population will be 2.8 mln, average monthly salary for an employee will be AZN 684.

Note that, as of November 1, 2012 the average monthly salary across the country is AZN 388.2.
