Annual balance profit of insurers makes AZN 48 mln in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Insurance and reinsurance companies operating in Azerbaijan gained AZN 48.05 mln total balance profit, according to APA-Economics, it was stated in the information of the State Insurance Supervision Service.

According to information, total incomes of insurance and reinsurance companies amounted to AZN 353.56 mln, expenses – AZN – 305.51 mln in 2012.

As of January 1, total assets made AZN 600.797 mln. Of which, AZN 380.49 mln fell to share of money and its equivalents, AZN 61.15 mln – receivables, AZN 58.23 mln – share of reinsurers in insurance reserves, AZN 48.14 mln – long-term financial assets, AZN 34.23 mln – investments in real estate, AZN 2.49 mln – accounted investments under the equity method, AZN 16.05 mln – other assets.

In the structure of passives, AZN 343.44 mln fell to share of capital (including authorized capital – AZN 294.06 mln), AZN 257.34 mln – liabilities (including insurance reserves - AZN 229.78 mln).
