To him, at present time, ADB conducts talks with Azerbaijani government and the abovementioned strategy can be ratified early in October of this year.
As to new fields of cooperation between ADB and Azerbaijan, Noroyono said that this can include the spheres such as solid waste management, renewable energy, rail and cargo transportations. Bank’s official also noted that these new spheres could be added to the new strategy.
Noroyono added that by the end of 2013, ADB and Azerbaijan would sign $250 mln-loan agreement: ‘This will be the first part of the second multi-tranche within the framework of motor road project’.
In addition, Noroyono said that within this week, transport mission of ADB will pay visit to Azerbaijan. During a visit, the mission will discuss potential loan projects in railroad sphere with the country’s government.
