ERC: Annual inflation in Azerbaijan reached 8.8%

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Economic Researches Centre has released the results of statistical observation of prices conducted in 10 regions during October, 2012.

ERC says according to results, 1.86%-inflation was observed in Azerbaijan. All goods and service groups rose during previous month. So, the price of food products went up 2.7%, non-food products – 1.16% and service tariffs – 0.51%.

Compared to October, the prices in Baku rose 2.43%, in regions – 1.3%. The food products in Baku went up 3.35%, in regions – 2.05%, non-food products relevantly rose 1.94% and 0.4%, service tariffs – 0.58% and 0.44%.

Calculations indicate that, during 11 months of 2012, the inflation made 8.05% in the country, including in Baku – 12.25% and in regions – 3.92%. During the period, food products rose 11.73%, services – 5.18%, non-food products – 2.86%.

Compared with a year earlier, 8.88%-rise was observed in the country. During the same period, the prices soared 13.46% in Baku, 4.37% - in the regions. The highest inflation was observed in food products (12.94%). Non-food product surged 2.56%, services – 6.56%.
