55% of Q1 tax receipts in Azerbaijan falls to share of non-oil sector

Baku. Ali Ahhmedov – APA-Economics. The transfers from the Ministry of Finance to State Budget during January-March made AZN 1,523,423,300.

According to Ministry, 36.1% of this came from profit tax, 24.8% - from VAT, 12.7% - from individuals’ tax, 8.3% - from excises, 18.1% - from other taxes. During the first quarter, 55.1% of tax receipts fell to share of non-oil sector.

In January, 20,880 tax payers were registered across the country. From July 1, 2011 to April 1, 2013, 69,090 individuals were registered electronically. As of April 1, 2013, number of taxpayers made 500,081.
