19th annual Index of Economic Freedom made public

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. The Heritage Foundation has released the 19th annual Index of Economic Freedom.

APA-Economics reports that Azerbaijan is ranked 88th place among the 177 countries. According to the Foundation Azerbaijan’s economic freedom score makes 59.7 points which is up 0.1 point from world’s average indicator, 2.3 points from the region’s average indicator and 0.8 points from last year’s figure.

Hong Kong, New Zealand and Switzerland retains the highest rating for economic freedom.

Estonia was among the world's 10 most improved. It ranked the 13th place – the highest among post soviet countries.

Georgia stood at 21st place, Armenia – 38th, Kazakhstan – 68th, Turkey – 69th, Russia – 139th, Iran – 168th.
