Azersighorta tops ranking of Azeri insurers for 1H08 insurance claim payment

Azersighorta State Insurance Company tops the list with AZN 6.14 million, or 28.2% of the total payments or insurance claims.
MBASK (AZN 2.36 million or 10.8%) and A-Group (AZN 2.02 million or 9.3%) are among the first three. The three has a share of 48.3% in the total payments. Three insurers (Qarant Sighorta, Amrah Sighorta and Nishan) made no payment for insurance claims.
Azerqarant rounds out the list with AZN 2 000. APA-Economics prepared a table ranking insurers in terms of premiums earned in the first quarter.
