Ukraine asks Tükiye, the USA, and the European Union for security guarantees for the country, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said during his speech at the opening of the new Ukrainian embassy building in Ankara, APA’s Istanbul correspondent reports.
He noted that Ukraine wants peace: “As a country, we want peace, we want the war to end. But of course, we want the end of the war to be based on certain security guarantees. We want these security guarantees to be provided by all of Europe, including the USA, the European Union, and Tükiye.”
Zelensky praised Tükiye's efforts and also drew attention to the creation of the grain corridor, emphasizing that Russia had ignored the agreements reached.
"We will never recognize our temporarily occupied territories by Russia as part of Russia. They are part of Ukraine," he added.
