The meeting between the Ukrainian and American delegations in Miami, Florida, has concluded, and negotiations will continue on March 22, according to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, APA reports.
"Our team is in America now; we already had a meeting today. On the American side are [US Presidential Special Envoy] Steve Witkoff and [the White House occupant's son-in-law] Jared Kushner. <...> The teams will continue to communicate tomorrow," he said in an evening video message published on his Telegram channel.
As reported in the 10th session by Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine and head of the Ukrainian delegation at the talks, the Kyiv delegation was represented by Zelenskyy's chief of staff, Kyrylo Budanov (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Russia), David Arakhamia, head of the Servant of the People party parliamentary faction, and Serhiy Kyslytsya, Zelenskyy's deputy chief of staff. The US delegation was represented by Stephen Witkoff, Jared Kushner, White House Senior Advisor Josh Gruenbaum, and State Department Senior Policy Advisor Chris Curran.
"We continued discussing key issues and next steps in the negotiation process. Particular attention was paid to coordinating approaches for further progress toward practical results," Umerov said, noting that the Ukrainian delegation had presented a report to Zelenskyy.
