Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that restoring oil transportation through the Druzhba pipeline could take up to one and a half months, APA reports, citing Evropeyskaya Pravda.
The Ukrainian leader made the remarks in a letter addressed today to the leadership of the European Union.
In the letter, Zelensky noted that the damage to the Druzhba pipeline infrastructure is quite serious, and the complete shutdown of the Brody station makes it impossible to maintain sufficient pressure in the pipeline and ensure safe transit.
The president stressed that claims that Ukraine is deliberately blocking oil transit via Druzhba are unfounded.
Note that the European Union has offered Ukraine technical support and financial assistance to restart the Druzhba pipeline, and the Ukrainian side has accepted the offer.
