Baku-APA. The International Tennis Federation (ITF) announced Tuesday that the Davis Cup playoff between Ukraine and Belgium will be held in Tallinn, Estonia instead of Kiev, according to Estonian Public Broadcaster (ERR), APA reports quoting Xinhua.
The playoff was initially scheduled to be held in Kiev, but this place was banned by the ITF due to security reasons, and a neutral field had to be found.
"We have choice between Poland and Estonia, but finally all together decided for the benefit of Estonia," Evgen Zukin, executive director of Ukraine Tennis Federation.
The International Tennis Federation said the best-of-five World Group playoff series on September 12-14 will be played on indoor hard courts at the Tere Tennis Certre in Tallinn.
