Baku. Rufet Ahmadzadeh – APA. The Swedish government decided on Thursday to approve the contract that allows NATO troops to enter the country’s territory.
The statement came from Swedish Defense Minister Karin Enstrem, APA reports quoting ITAR-TASS.
He said that the contract with NATO will strengthen security in Europe: “Sweden is building security in cooperation with other countries and organizations. There’s an existing unity between the political blocs to accede to the agreement with NATO. This agreement will bring more opportunities to provide and receive assistance”.
Note that, the agreement does not allow the NATO Response Force (NRF) to arrive in the country without an invitation. The NRF can enter the country only at the invitation of the Swedish government.
