Baku-APA. Two people were killed when a small aircraft crashed on Denmark's third largest island Funen on Thursday, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
A four-seat sport plane crashed into the water at Munkebo on Funen, said Danish News Agency Ritzau.
A man and a woman have been confirmed dead, but their identities and the number of people on board are not yet known, according to local police.
The plane took off from an aerodrome on the Endelave island and was headed toward Kertinge Mark on northern Funen.
A witness told Ritzau that one of the plane's wings hit the water and it crashed afterward.
Police said they are now in the process of scanning the area for any additional passengers and accident investigation has been launched.
