It was noted that during the negotiations the Ukrainian President greatly appreciated the efforts of the German government on settlement of the crisis and especially the recent four-sided meeting of the Foreign Ministers held in Berlin.
The sides agreed that the next round of talks should be in the format of high-level meetings. Just for this purpose the presidents of the four countries (Ukraine, Russia, Germany and France) are expected to hold a four-sided meeting.
Note that, on August 15, EU ambassador to Russia Vygaudas Ušackas said about the meeting of Poroshenko and Putin. According to him, President of the European Commission José Manuel Barroso is expected to attend the meeting.
