Strasbourg. Fuad Gulubeyli – APA. The European Court of Human Rights has today elected Guido Raimondi (Italy) as its new President. He will take office on 1 November 2015. The President was elected by secret ballot by the plenary Court. Guido Raimondi succeeds Dean Spielmann (Luxembourg), whose mandate will come to an end on 31 October 2015.
Born in Italy’s Naples city, since 2010 Guido Raimondi has worked as Italy’s judge of the European Court of Human Rights, and since 2012 as Vice-President of the Court and President of Section.
