Baku-APA. President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, suggested Russia to be more attractive to its neighbors, APA reports quoting RIA Novosti.

"I would like to respond to those who claim that the" Eastern Partnership "is directed against Russia. It is not. The Eastern Partnership - it's not a beauty contest between Russia and the EU. But I'll be honest, the beauty factor to consider. If Russia were to softer, more charming, attractive, then maybe it would not have to compensate for their disadvantages such destructive and aggressive actions against its neighbors "- said Tusk on arrival at the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga.

The head of the European Council warned against excessive expectations with regard to an early decision on EU enlargement.

"We all look forward to the changes, but I am sure that we need to train our strategic patience. The Riga summit will not be devoted to announcing big steps forward. Our partnership will move step by step, as well as the EU itself was built, and we will focus our efforts on the reforms, "- said Tusk.
