Three PKK terrorists were killed in an operation in Yuksekova town of Hakkari province, while another seven PKK members were killed in airstrikes carried out in the same area, said the statement released by the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces.
Three Turkish soldiers were also slightly wounded in the operation, said statement, adding that an anti-aircraft gun, two machine guns and a Kalashnikov rifle were seized in the operation.
Since July, more than 2,000 PKK terrorists have been killed in security operations across the country, Turkish Interior Minister Selami Altinok said.
Authorities have declared security zones, also known as military forbidden zones, in 231 regions of 22 provinces, the semi-official Anadolu Agency quoted Altinok as saying.
Tensions have been running high, especially in southeastern Turkey, as major military operations against PKK have been going on since July, after a cease-fire fell through.
