British Prime Minister Andy Burnham had a phone call with United States President Donald Trump this afternoon, a spokesperson for the latter shared in a statement on Monday, APA reports.
The two discussed various topics, including the world economy. Burnham praised the latest US jobs figures, while also noting "positive signs of growth" in the UK's economy.
Meanwhile, on conflicts, both agreed that more work needs to be put into Ukraine ceasefire efforts. "On the Middle East, the Prime Minister set out the UK's commitment to working towards peace and security in the region, stressing the importance of the Two-State Solution, the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, and ensuring that Iran never acquires a nuclear weapon," the spokesperson stated.
