The first tranche of the €90 billion loan allocated by the European Union to Ukraine is expected to be received at the end of May or early June, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told journalists, RBC-Ukraine reports.
“The first tranche of the €90 billion loan will be directed toward strengthening the army and the production of Ukrainian weapons,” the President said.
The Ukrainian leader added that the allocated funds will also be used for social needs, as well as for the development of the defense industry, particularly the production of drones and electronic warfare systems.
